It's a beautiful day
A beautiful day to witness the inauguration of America's 44th President, Barack Obama.
"Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America." President Obama
I shared this historic moment with the crowds that gathered at San Francisco City Hall to watch the swearing in of President Obama. There were tears of joy, tears of hope and tears for change and lots of cheeers :) It was a day I will never forget.....and naturally, I documented the event with photographs, so when my grandchildren ask me where was I when history was made, January 20th 2009, I can share with them not only in words but through pictures and when they ask my husband, he will say I was on the caltrain going to work, sniff :( These are for Stephen who made moving to this country a reality xo
Please Enjoy xo

Playing with Light Series
Over the weekend, I got the chance to start shooting for my 'Playing with Light' Portrait Series. Now that wedding season has calmed down, I have the opportunity to have some Kirsty Time :).....I have been dying to shoot in my garage for some time now and enlisted my good friend Brian who just happens to be an awesome model, to be part of my series. Its not often I get the chance to photograph 1.Men and 2.the dark and moody side of portraiture and 3. plan my lighting, so this was alot of fun :)
Heres a few of my favorites titled 'Playing with Fire'
Wanna be part of this series, shoot me an email design@shootretouchdesign.com

Chiayu & James Engagement
I did an engagement session with Chiayu and James at the UC Berkeley campus, where the two of them are alums. I must confess that even though I am a CU Boulder graduate, I think Berkeley is one of my favorite college campus' in the whole country.
With that said, I had a great time getting to know the two of them while strolling through the beautiful campus. They were very comfortable to be around and were a pleasure to photograph!
Thanks for such a great afternoon guys! Kirsty and I look forward to shooting your wedding day in June!!

New Year Love Birds
Christine and Ben tied the knot January 2nd, a perfect way to start the new year and kick off the 2009 wedding season.
Christine looked absolutely stunning!!!Preparations began at the Laurel Inn in Pacific Heights, just a block from the Swedenborgian Church a beautiful church and a historical landmark in the city. The perfect location for an intimate ceremony with 37 close friends and family.
With the Presidio on our doorstep, naturally I took advantage of this beautiful backdrop for their creative portraits. While their guests headed off to The Richmond Restaurant for cocktails and a delicious dinner.
I was lucky enough to taste quite a few of the courses, which were DELICIOUS! John and his staff did an outstanding job on both the food and the hospitality, definitely check out out their restaurant for dinner if you are in the neighborhood, you will not be disappointed.
Congratulations guys, I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Maui xo
