Happy Pride Weekend

Pride weekend is a busy one for us, Im bummed I wont make the parade and the party this year. But I did get to celebrate yesterday with my HOT Bride and Groom!! I have named them my 'hot vogue couple'. These guys requested hours of creative time.....my dream couple, and we ran off for two hours before the ceremony and then an hour after and got some amazing shots, more to come later!! so many good ones to share.

I wanted to get this one up today in honor of this weekends Pride Weekend.

Yes, that would be my couple posing as mannequins in this stores awesome Pride Window Display, I couldnt resist LOL. Thank you to staff at the store for being so accomodating :)

Karen and Bretts Wedding

Karen and Brett got married on June 7th, just a few weeks back.

The ceremony and reception was held at Karen's parent's beautiful home in Pleasanton, CA.

The theme was vintage and Karen did an amazing job making all the fun details that make a wedding unique. I LOVE LOVE details :)

Karen was an stunning Bride and Brett a very handsome groom. With 5 amazing kids too, who were a lot of fun to hang out with.

It was an absolute pleasure being asked to photograph their Big Day, not only did I get to capture this amazing celebration, I gained new friends too.

Absolutely loving this interesting set of lips that appeared on the negative!! Appropriate I thought, this was all captured in camera, no photoshopping was involved here! If anyone can explain?! :D

8mm Film

I was going through the archives today and came across some 8mm film, my husband and I took not that long ago on a trip to Miami.

It was so nice to rewatch, photographing weddings and witnessing families coming together, it reminded me of the importance of love, family & friends.

Our entire family is back in Scotland, we try to get home as much as possible and we miss them all dearly :(

Film is also a fun and creative way to document special occasions in your life. Our trip to Miami was a collaboration of taking a break and meeting my parents and their friends half way and enjoy each others company.

My parents have many an 8mm movie in the loft documenting the special moments in their life, their courtship, our births, first birthdays and parties. Which I got a hold of last year from my dad and put together on a DVD for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. It really is a great and unique way to document important days of your life or just for fun. It was an emotional moment watching the anniversary DVD and my parents were thrilled with their special gift after not seeing the footage for 20 odd years.

I'm still trying to find the files from their anniversary combination, its such a cool visit back in time. Ill post and share when I find them :D Scotland in the sixties and seventies, its pretty sweet footage. Watch this space :)

Really Cool

Baby Liam

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Little Mister Liam last week.

Liam is 6 1/2 months old and a super chilled little guy.
We had lots of fun together and he didnt cry once!!!

Proud mommy Heather and I of course danced around like idiots to entertain him. Parent participation is mandatory lol.

If you were in the Golden Gate Park enjoying the weather last Thursday and witnessed two crazy gals doing the monkey dance that would be us :)

2 Publications in one week, Jake in SF Weekly and me in San Jose Magazine, super excited!!!!

I had the pleasure a few months back of photographing Azadeh's new Spring/Summer Collection 2008 with my good friend and fellow photographer Morvarid (Momo) :)

The show was a huge success and our photography along with me on camera!!! was featured on Best of the Bay seen in the video above. Our photography is also being featured in this months edition of the San Jose Magazine (out now) www.sanjosemagazine.com

I wish I had known they were filming, I would have done my hair nice :D

Maryam and Ali's Engagement

I photographed Maryam and Ali's Engagement Session on Sunday.

We headed into the Golden Gate Park for a very relaxed sunset stroll through the park and stopped along the way and got some AMAZING images!!!We are so lucky to have this amazing park right on our doorstep.

Miss Duck who I have named Betty, even joined in and she was quite the poser!!! Americas Next Top Duck :)

Maryam and Ali were complete naturals in front of the camera and have scheduled a huge amount of creative time on their big day for photography, which I love!!! I know we are going have alot of fun on their wedding day coming up at the end of this month.

Pamela and Bill's Engagement Party
