David Zuckerman's 95th Birthday

I photographed this event over the weekend at the Mandarin Hotel in downtown San Francisco. Great Venue, great people. Happy 95th Birthday, David!!!!

Welcome Baby Arya

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Baby Arya last week at only 9 days old.

The name Arya is a Sanskrit word used by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. In various settings Arya can mean kind, noble and respected. In south India, it's a tradition for a boy to take his father's first name as his last name, therefore Arya's last name will be Raghavan.

Arya also has a chinese name, Si Yuan, which comes from a proverb that says "When you drink the water, contemplate its origin. His Mommy chose this name so he will always remember his duo origins.

Congratulations Mommy & Daddy on your beautiful bundle of Joy!

WPPI Las Vegas 2008

Last week, my friend and I headed to Vegas for the WPPI Convention (Wedding and Portraits Photographers International. I entered the Megan and Conor Album in the Design Competition and while I didnt win 1st, 2nd or 3rd, my album did score over 80 for which I received and Accolade Of Excellence. Not bad for my first entry :)

I met some fantastic photographers during our stay and volunteered on the Special Kids Photography Booth at the Venue Show which was a huge honor and a great cause. Check out their site at www.specialkidsphotography.com

The Awards Show was pretty awesome with a few comical slip ups to boot!
